Roderick wiped the sheet of sweat that started to form on his forehead with the back of his hand. He was hard at work unloading and setting up his trailer full of crops and goods that the pack had made. Alongside him was his Delta Erin helping already set up the tent and goods in an alphabetical order as was his pride and joy. Erin yelled down people left and right as Roderick continued to unload. He shook his head and laughed loud for Erin to turn and glance his way. "You know you could help me right?" Roderick asked Erin who glinted a side smile and turned to help grab boxes. Erin made a smart remark about how Roderick needed to do some exercise every once in a while and that had both of them booming with laughter.
After the tables were set and the crops and goods were placed in their respective places, Roderick started to help get through the morning rush of families and locals alike. He enjoyed the smell of humans and wolves alike. Being in a setting such as this really helped calm his nerves, while being on pack property with so many male wolves really made his wolf antsy and pace. He was unsettled, but once he got to his usual Saturday routine with his Delta it tended to calm his nerves a lot. Thankfully with his Beta Susanna staying behind to watch the troublesome two he felt at peace. He had known his pack mates for a long time now and enjoyed their company.
A little girl came rushing up to the table, her soft brown curls stamping to her face with sweat, as she smelled the home-made soaps and attempted to eat it while her parents saw her from the crowd. Roderick immediately went around the table and knelt down to the girl who was mouthing the soap, her age still too young to be running amuck on her own. "Now you know that eating soap turns you into a bubble right?" Roderick told the little girl, his smile creeping from the crooks of his mouth as the little girl scrunched her nose and looked at the soap before looking back to Roderick as her parents came to her aide. They apologized for her rudeness and asked how much the soap cost. Roderick boomed with laughter and roughed up the girls head before standing, "No worries, its free. This doll was a joy to talk with" he smiled. The parents thanked him and moved on with their daughter still staring at Roderick from her fathers shoulder. Erin just shook his head and leaned into the table asking when he's ever going to quit being such a sap for an alpha. Roderick once again laughed and told him, "Lets get off our asses and get these crops sold!" Clapping his hands he returned to behind the tables and started selling!
**Note: This is an open thread, but also a prime example of how to play the NPC's into your created character posts! Please make sure that when they talk there is no quotes, but simply as if you were godmodding/powerplaying these characters**

Rebekah walked along the market, it was way too early for her to be up but she didn't get sleep last night and her body was still itching to get out. The crowds of people were a steady flow with the smell of fresh foods gracing her senses as well as the floral scents from the local gardeners. It was a prime time for her creativity to flow through her. Some acoustic music played in the distance by musicians, and as she swayed her body to the beat she took snaps here and there with her Nikon D750. She smiled as she stopped a moment to look at the pictures she had taken so far. There was a couple playing guitar and the loving look she captured between the two was priceless. Rebekah smiled as the pictures flipped through her view.
Lifting her gaze from her camera to a man booming with laughter next to a little girl, she couldn't help but kneel down in front of them to snap that photo of exchange as he brushed a lock out of her sweaty face. The man was older that she could tell, but unique from what she noticed. Normally men that looked like him were rough, tussled, and frail. This man by no means was frail but instead beaming with light in his eyes. He was handsome in an old man sort of way. Especially when his curled grey hair blew in the wind. Her body felt a bit of a pull towards this guy as the little girl left and the older gentleman continued to converse with the red headed gentleman that was accompanying him. 'Cute' she thought as she was curious to see what goods they were selling today.
Rebekah hadn't been here long in this town, but she did come to the market often and never saw these two until today. Lifting herself up from her kneeling she walked over towards the two conversing and selling goods. Her eyes gazing down towards the fresh vegetables, crops, and homemade soaps. Picking one of the soaps up she smelled the pumpkin spice flavor and immediately fell in love with this unique soap. Who thought someone could make pumpkin soap? Smiling, Rebekah lifted her gaze to the older gentleman she just took a picture of and beamed, "I'll take this".

He could feel eyes on him, but honestly Roderick could care less. He was in the human realm, so he knew that anything a werewolf did outside their realm was forbidden and punishable by death. He had finished helping a customer bag up their items when he turned to a brunette eyeing his merchandise. Her scent came off as human and he just kept an eye as she ran her fingers along the crops and the soaps. Roderick shared a glance between Erin, and was about to ask the female if she needed help when they locked eyes. His wolf stirred in his mind and he resisted the urge to growl at this female for sharing eye contact. Usually humans weren't so bold as to lock eyes with a werewolf. He gulped the dominant urge down after she mentioned she would take the pumpkin spice soap bar. Grinning brightly he grabbed a small bag that had their farms label on it and put the soap in there, exchanging the money for the bar.
Glancing down before handing the bag over he noticed she had a camera in hand and warmed up a little. "Photography enthusiast? Or holding it for a friend?" he asked her letting their fingers make contact before handing the small bag over. Smiling bright he then crossed his arms across his chest as a piece of gray hair fell across his face.

When the large grey haired man asked about her camera in hand she smiled, glancing at the red headed one next to him. He had been watching her this entire time and Rebecca couldn't figure out if he was just watching out for his old man or if he was genuinely interested. Returning her gaze back to the man in question and hooking the small bag in the crook of her elbow she smiled, lifting the camera "Photographer!" she chimed softly.
Remembering the photo she took of the older gentleman earlier, she raised a finger and flipped through the pictures in her camera, "I like to capture moments. More of the genuine kind you know?" her long drawl of a southern accent peaking out from under her tongue as she glanced at his frame once more before find the picture. Turning the camera around to show the gentlemen the picture she took, she allowed the big burly old man to take her camera from her and really get a look at the photo before him. She still kept the neck band on the camera tightly gripped in her hand. She knew what it meant to hand over a piece of expensive equipment to anyone. It meant either the camera was a goner or this man would appreciate her work. The red head turned to her and glanced. She offered a smile and looked to the camera where they both were looking into. The red head turned and glanced over the big guys shoulder to take a peak at her work. Seeing the two of them eyeing her pictures, Rebecca felt as if she was standing in front of them naked. Not that she had a problem with it, but she certainly felt self aware, and was curiously awaiting their answer with a slight blush to her warm cheeks.

Delphi sits cross-legged atop a small crate, arms elbow deep in a large bucket of water as she scrubs the worst of the dirt off of their veggies before placing them on the table for display. The Delta has a pair of earphones in, and her cantankerous mess of curls threatens to break loose from its sloppy bun as she bobs her head to the music. The woman didn’t care much for these sales Roderick set up so often, but it wasn’t the event itself that bothered her. Rather, it was that she was expected to of course be on her best behavior - and not scare the humans away.
She was trying, really, though every time some errant gaze met her own she could feel her wolf clawing at her chest, begging her lips to pull back and eyes to narrow threateningly. However, she does none of that, exercising what little control she bothers to drudge up. And, well, if her answering smiles showed tad too much teeth, it was their own fault for having shit instincts. Glancing upwards as a small girl bumbles over and tries to eat the soap of all things, she cannot help but feel a glimmer of fondness for the small creature as she coaxes a laugh out of the old Alpha. Human children weren’t so different from pups, still fumbling about life and looking to elders for guidance...in this case, in what not to eat. She can vaguely remember her own embarrassing lessons with Roderick, often over things that seemed obvious to her now. No, Delphi had no quarrel with children. Blinking rapidly as the shutter of a camera breaks her out of her reverie, she looks up to see a woman approaching with camera in tow. With rounded cheeks and pretty curves, she looked like she could pass for anything between nineteen and thirty... yet pup-like all the same. To this day the odd lifespans of humans baffled Delphi. The idea of one gathering all the knowledge they needed to be “adult” by the time they’re only eighteen seemed altogether crazy!
Abandoning her current task, she grabs a towel to dry the water from her arms as she calls Oliver over. “Care to take over, love?” She practically croons, giving the young male an appreciative hip bump for his troubles as he gets to it. Flouncing over to where Erin, Roderick, and the woman were gathered, she winds up the towel before whipping it towards her Alpha’s behind with a tinkling laugh. Tugging down the sleeves of her heavy knit sweatshirt, she plants her hands on her hips, all four foot nine of her radiating amusement. “You didn’t tell me there would be a photo shoot today, Blanche! I would have worn my nice pants.” She pouts playfully while subtly eyeing the photographer. The dusting of pink across her cheeks makes the Delta curious. A result of the men in front of her, or of sharing her work? Interesting, either way. Extending her arm forward to offer a firm handshake to the girl, she grins widely, green eyes locking with brown. “Delphi Caslow at your service, m’lady. While Erin here,” and she nudges the red head lightly with her elbow, “may grow the pumpkin in that pretty little soap of yours, I’m the one who turns it into something usable. Can’t let these lumps take all the credit!” And, because she couldn’t resist pushing buttons, she throws in a salacious wink. “And if you’re looking for any willing models, I’m more than willing to pose for you...privately.” A snicker passes her lips.

The young girl replied with a lot of spunk in her tone, but for some reason Roderick felt it was more of a forced spunk than anything. He didn't know what was going on with this female human but he knew she was putting on a bit of an act. His hackles raised as he grabbed the camera to view the picture. It was a good eye she had that was for sure. The little girl looked simply marvelous in the photo and Roderick laughed at the concerned expression on his face. He did however notice the cameras latch was still being held onto by its owner. "Huh" Roderick said, glancing at the female who seemed to have a little more of a red tint to her cheeks. Before he could say anymore he heard the sarcastic voice of little delta of his breaking the silence.
Breathing a chuckled sigh of relief from the situation, " I didn't either" Roderick said letting the two converse as he handed the camera back to the girl. He knew Delphi wasn't particularly fond of humans, but she sure did have a knack for getting him out of those awkward situations. Erin eyed him from the side as Roderick moved past him back to the truck to grab some water. Roderick never knew why humans were so attracted to his form. He knew the girl with the camera wasn't interested in him in the slightest, but he did feel odd being in her presence. Something about her made his wolf shiver with discontent. So, Roderick sat in the truck for a bit sipping on his water as the crowd drowned out the noise. Maybe it was the sun getting to him, or maybe he needed to hunt. It sure had been a while since he ran the borders or hunted with his pack. Then again, visitors rarely showed up anymore and god forbid anyone in his pack find their mates anytime soon, including Delphi. His jaw clenched at the thought of his little Delphi getting a mate. He wanted what was best for her for sure, but the thought of her running off into an unknown pack or territory scared him. He had been the closest thing to a father for her, and had proudly taken on that role.

A feminine voice had her do a slight jump, and Rebecca's eyes moved straight to the wild haired girl who made the comment. She eyed the girl up and down, admiring her exotic looks and unruly hair. A warm smile brushed her lips, and Rebecca felt a warmth rush through her. This girl was wild, and Rebecca knew it! With her name thrown out, Rebecca grabbed her hand and felt the power of the girl wrack through her like a tidal wave, something was throwing Rebecca back about this girl and she couldn't pin it, but also didn't shove it aside either. Rebecca was curious, as she listened to Delphi finish her off with a wild wink and an offer for private lessons. Rebecca's mouth hung slightly, as she closed it and licked her lips from the slight dryness that settled, "The names Rebecca, but please call me Becca." she offered lightly with a smile, "I do love your pumpkin soap bars. They are definitely something I haven't ever smelt before, and of course I have to settle down the white girl in me."
Rebecca chuckled lifting one of the bars and caressing it slightly before placing it back in its spot. She shifted her hips to the side, causing her butt to jut out as she leaned on the table a bit. A small wild smirk gracing her lips as she felt the wild party tingle and grow inside her, "How about I double the offer and just do a private lesson for free?". Lifting herself off the table, she dug through her back pocket and pulled out a card. "Call me if your interest" and swept her eyes once again over the girls figure, brushing a lock of her own hair out of her face.
Rebecca wondered if she would get a night out with this girl, even if it was to take a few shots and get some pleasure of her own. If not, Rebecca didn't worry too much about the issue, and enjoyed the flirtatious and suggestive conversation this girl offered. It wasn't like she got hit on by the female gender very often, and when she did, Rebecca took every ounce of it. She did enjoy the frequent male one night stands, but liked a mix up every so often.

A exasperated sigh left her as she slipped on her sunglasses walking with a basket in one hand and in the other and sketchbook in the other. A few steps ahead of her, a middle-aged woman named Susan went on about things they needed to by. "And I'm here because...what again?" her quiet vocals came out as she looked at everyone that she passed. Takenya wasn't one for being out in the open and crowds was also on the list she didn't like. Her attention snapped back to Susan as she said that it would do her some good to get out in about and socialize. "But I don't do...socializing...Susan. Didn't have time for it." she added taking in a deep breath as the woman stopped at a tent to look at some woodwork. Great, she wasn't even listening. Mumbling under her breath, she was glad her hearing wasn't extraordinary. The two females continued on to different spots before Susan finally started to name off things that they needed. Eggs, bread, jam a few vegetables and fruit.
After getting some fruit from a couple the two decided to take a break. That gave Takenya the opportunity to bring out her sketchbook. With Susan's pestering, she had to get up and walk around which wasn't so bad. Pushing her sunglasses to her head, she walked around avoiding people as she could. Anything that caught her eye she'd stop to kinda doodle. A jeweler, one of Susan's friends spotted her and caused her to jump slightly at her name being called out before she made her way over and with a light conversation, she sat down in a nearby chair. Dark brown eyes looking for something to sketch. And her eyes laid on a few people conversing at a table with soaps. And quickly her hand started to go to work. After a bit, a tap on her shoulder caused her to jump again as Susan stood alongside her before complaining about having finally found her, half thinking she had ran off back home. What did she take the teenager for?...a coward? Okay, yes she was spooked by a few things but that didn't mean she would leave the woman out here by herself. Susan began to make her way over after putting a second basket in her lap interrupting her sketching. "Uhhh Susaaaan!" she complained with the huff she made her way over behind Susan, her gaze at the ground as she repeated the name of vegetables they needed. Suddenly feeling eyes on her, she slipped her sunglasses back on, they gave her some comfort like nobody could see her or at least her eyes.
Now with a name to the face, Delphi watches with no end of amused surprise as Becca juts out a hip, emphasizing her generous curves. The petite lycanthrope can feel satisfaction thrum through her; most responded to her overtures with either flustered dismissal or irritation. This human though, seemed to know how to have fun. And, more importantly, hadn’t made any kind of challenging gestures, purposeful or not. How pleasant. Taking the business card with deft fingers and planting a teasing kiss onto it, she slips it into her back pocket. “Keep buttering me up like that and I’ll have to buy you a drink,” she giggles, and half means it. The werewolf pickings were slim after all, and she found that she tolerated this human far easier than most others. Wrapping the soap and bagging it, she offers a parting wave and a smile before she skips back off to her ‘station’.
Oliver had been cleaning and setting up the vegetables alright, and with his sweet disposition had been selling them like a champ. With her boisterous personality and his boyish charm, they are soon fresh out of cucumbers and most of the squash, and it is with a happy little jig that she high fives the younger wolf and shoos him off to “Buy yourself something nice, kiddo!” Brushing her hands off on her pants, she gives up on her (now trashed) bun and pulls the band out, letting the mass of ringlets bounce free. Glancing up as a middle aged woman approaches - Susaaaan, as the young girl following her calls her - she forces another bright grin onto her face and leans forward. “Hey there, welcome!” She gestures broadly to the remaining veggies on display. “Anything I can help you...find...” she trails off slightly as her eyes land on the darker girl with sunglasses, body tensing as her wolf practically slams against her control. Something about that girl and her scent was just not right. Delphi had never met a demiwolf before, and the lack of a label to put on this girl only made her more agitated.
Delphi itches in her own skin, and she quickly utters a strained “Feel free to browse, excuse me,” before striding away with the slightest shake in her fingers. Going to where Roderick sat, she grips his forearm, knowing that her expression gave away how close she was to slipping. “That girl...” she utters, confusion and anger warring on her face, “somethings not right with her. My wolf is agitated as hell, and I don’t know why.” When her own knowledge failed her, she knew she could count on the wizened alpha to handle anything. “What is she?”

Roderick had finally relaxed and let the wind blow in his face when a familiar grip on his arm made him pop an eye out at the upset delta. Usually Erin could handle the others when it came to the farmers market. Before he could officially make clear of what Delphi was getting at he noticed a very strange scent. This scent wasn't quite human nor wolf and he had recognized a scent like this long ago in his younger years. Lifting himself out of the truck, Roderick put a firm hand on Delphi's shoulder, "Calm down little one" he breathed out, taking in the scent again.
Yes, he knew this scent, and was conflicted. His heart clenched and his wolf stirred within him, for it had been a very long time since he had been around a Demi-Wolf. His first love had been a Demi-Wolf by the name of Valerie. He was tickled by the memory of her soft lips on his rough hands, and her green eyes staring back at him with such vitality. However, as soon as the memory came to him it quickly turned sour as his wolf continued to pace. Their first attempt at pregnancy between a demi-wolf and a werewolf had been utter failure and had resulted in his sweet Valerie's death.
Seemingly shaking off the memory, Roderick adjusted his jean jacket and cracked a sad soft smile towards Delphi. "That scent that you feel, that stirs your wolf is what we werewolves would consider an unordinary being. Not of wolf or human, but both combined, that scent is a Demi-Wolf. Come now, I'll explain more after the markets over" Roderick told Delphi as he made his way around the truck and observed his stiff packmates before his eyes landed straight on the small fragile being in front of him. "Come on kids don't be rude!" Roderick bellowed out in a laugh, his eyes still lingered on the girl for a second before bouncing the the woman she was with, "Can I help you ladies find anything? We have the freshest vegetables in town! Locally grown by my good friend Erin and the soaps made by this young one here. If you are looking for a specific flavor we'd be happy to home-make it for ya!" Roderick eyed the woman once more his smile glinting in the sunlight as he gestured towards the two that were mentioned. Roderick could see out of the corner of his eyes the glint coming from little Oliver as he eyed the female, his wolf clearly showing through the specks of gold. "Oliver, Delphi, would you please help these beautiful ladies find what they need?" Roderick offered, waving Erin to follow him to the back of the truck.
Erin eyed him as he followed suit, his usually soft calm face was serious and unhappy. "I think we've had enough selling for the day don't you think?" Roderick asked, crossing his arms and eyeing the girl from around the truck. Erin grunted in agreement before sighing and scratching his beard, 'I haven't seen a demi wolf in ages, and to think one would show up in town. What is she planning? Her own death sentence?'.
"Now now" Roderick growled his wolf showing through the gold specks, " We are in human territory, and she is safe here, but I do worry about her well being. If she trespasses on pack land then it could cause issues with any pack not just ours. I know Susanna would quickly kill her without a doubt, and who knows what Delphi or Oliver are thinking. " Roderick sighed, he didn't know what to do, but was willing to get out of this situation as fast as possible. He knew the younger ones couldn't hold their temper back even if they wanted too, and from his own experience, he knew that this little demi-wolf wouldn't be able to put up much of a fight.
Inwardly, she flinched not looking up from the ground as a female came over to greet Susan and she. But she didn't miss the faltering in her words and she glanced up as Susan smiled greeting her back. Takenya watched behind her darkened shades as the woman excused herself before striding over to a man. Shifting on her feet, she sat her sketchbook inside the basket she was carrying while Susan browsed over what was left of the veggies. Lifting her hand she reached up to run her hand through her curly hair, taking a glance around to possibly calm her nerves. Some humans were starting to pack up for the day. Quickly, her attention came back to movement in front of her and she flinched as the older man spoke. Out of whatever wolf instinct she had in her, she stepped back to slightly hide behind Susan. Course Susan wouldn't understand what was going on. She simply smiled towards the man before saying thank you and then looking to Takenya before asking her if she'd like to look at the soaps. Honestly, she just wanted to leave. The looks she was getting from these people---werewolves was enough to send her running. She remembered her mother telling her when she was younger that she needed to stay away from them. It wasn't safe, especially for her.
Again, she shifted on her feet nervously while shaking her head and the older woman spoke about her favorite smelling like vanilla which caused her to look up and she nearly jumped out her skin, sunglasses falling off her face, feeling arms wrap around her waist. She looked back, eyes somewhat widened as a breathless "Julian!" left her. The boy around her age chuckled before letting her go saying how rare it was for her to be out in broad daylight which caused her to shake her head as if to clear it as emotions scrambled to calm down. Dark brown orbs quickly went to the other wolves as Susan greeted Julian as he playfully nudged Takenya winking before hook an arm around her shoulder. She was glad that he was here. It calmed her down a little bit but not much. He was the only one that knew what she was, course you tell him you were a unicorn and he'd play along. She had no real proof she was part wolf. But he knew when she was getting ready to bolt and was often around more so for encouragement.
Oliver loved going to the farmers market. His wolf howled for the freedom when they left pack territory and ventured into the human unknown. He didn't complain in the pack territory but it was definitely different than regular old pack patrolling and duties. He enjoyed the musky smell of humans and the chatter they had without a care. Taking over for Delphi, he helped clean the vegetables while she so easily flirted with a female human. He scoffed at the idea, but didn't deny that fun himself. When Delphi came back and offered him the money to go get himself something, he couldn't help feel a bit of a loose leash and jumped up with joy. "Thanks Delphi!" He said sweetly, clutching the money in hand and about to step away when a very odd scent put his wolf at a standstill with hackles raised. He felt extremely uncomfortable, and eyebrows furrowed in concern. He didn't know what was wrong with him, but looked up into the sunglasses of the strange scent. What was she he thought and was about to do the unthinkable and jump on her for questions when a firm hand caught his elbow. Roderick's reassuring grip and demeanor calmed him down a bit as he was offered to help out with the girls choice. Gulping down a thick taste of insecurity, Oliver obliged by his alpha and stood just behind Delphi on her left side. Stiff as a board but still offering a smile and hands in pocket. Thankfully a human boy came around and helped masked the unsure scent.
Delphi wrinkles her nose a tad as Roderick explains these Demiwolves. It was one thing to have fun with a human, but to have a child with one? A child that could never truly access their wolf, and a parent that would never really understand... the thought itself was entirely unappealing. Unless...no. To turn a child would be inexcusable. Maybe when the child grew? She turns curious eyes towards the colored woman. Would a change take hold on a Demiwolf? Perhaps one day a willing participant would cross her path. As her Alpha comes over and gently restrains Oliver, she does her best to swallow down any discomfort. She had been so busy minding her own wolf that she hadn’t even noticed the young were’s near call to action. She drags a hand through her curls, tugging just a bit as her fingers get caught. She should pay more attention.
As Oliver comes up beside and slightly behind her, she slings an arm over his shoulders to drag him in and murmur, “Sex with humans one-oh-one, baby boy - wrap it before you tap it.” Her tones were surely quiet enough that only he would hear, voice shaking with restrained laughter before she releases her grip. There was an undercurrent of seriousness, though. The brunette personally could not imagine raising a child that raised her wolf’s hackles every time she held them. Of course, the love would be there, but...still. As she drags her attention back to the present, her demeanor is still a little strained, but she manages a smirk as she crosses her arms and juts out a hip. “Julian, is it? You look like a gentleman - care to buy some soap for your lady companions? We’re just about out, so it’s now or never.” She gestures widely to the display, dramatics firmly in place. She found that when her poker face wasn’t quite up to par, it was best to mask things with large hand gestures. ooc: Sorry for the wait guys c’: life got real busy this month.
